Day at the Market

Today is our shopping day at the Redmond Saturday Market. I found some fragrant basil and garlic that I made into some pesto. I love homemade pesto. It’s one of the simplest things to make and tastes good on so many things. Of course the basic pasta, but I also love it on tomatoes with mozzarella or mixed with cream cheese as a spread.
We also bought some cherries. I think its nearing the end of the cherry season, but they still look so delicious, how could we resist?!

And you can’t leave the Market without a bunch of flowers. This year I seem to gravitate towards everything orange. After peonies, dahlias are probably my next favorite flower, but there are so many to really pick favorites.

Can't wait for dinner!
